Grand Place welcomes Tria Health as its first office tenant

Tria Health has relocated its headquarters from Overland Park, Kan., to the heart of downtown Kansas City, Mo. The company, a leader in personalized medication management and chronic condition care, has leased 17,586 SF inside Grand Place, marking the first office tenant attached to the historic KC Star Building.

“We are thrilled to settle into our new office space, which has already made a positive impact on our team culture by fostering collaboration and creativity,” said Jessica Lea, CEO of Tria Health. “Being in the vibrant Crossroads District is an inspiration, and we are excited to be a part of this expanding community.”

Undergoing a $95 million redevelopment, the Grand Place building now features mixed-use spaces designed for modern businesses. Generator Studio led the 25,000-SF tenant improvement project, crafting a workspace that celebrates the building’s architectural heritage while meeting the functional needs of a growing healthcare provider.

"Building on our previous work on the core and shell of Grand Place, it was rewarding to collaborate with Tria Health on an office that not only meets the evolving needs of their growing team but also celebrates the building’s century-old history," said Mike Kress, Generator Studio Co-founder.

The space reflects Tria Health’s commitment to innovation and wellness, with natural light streaming through long corridors, sliding glass office doors, and operable garage doors that open to a north-facing break room. “As we continue to demonstrate success, we anticipate doubling in size over the next five years,” added Lea. “We wanted a location that reinforces our mission of health and wellness, and Grand Place is far and away the best place to be.”

Grand Place amenities include a European-style market, rooftop patio with skyline views, fitness and spa facilities, and WELL™ standards designed to enhance health and productivity.

The project was completed in July 2024 with contributions from key partners, including Complete Property Solutions as the general contractor, 3D Development, Rollie Fors with CBRE as the broker, Lankford Fendler + Associates (MEP) and PMA Engineering (structural).
