BRES, RSM donate to Harvesters to assist KC hunger relief efforts

Leaders from RSM US LLP (RSM) and 46 Penn Centre have partnered to donate more than 126,000 meals to Harvesters.

Harvesters, who provides food and related household products to more than 760 nonprofit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters and children’s homes across 26 counties in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. estimates one in six local residents may be experiencing food insecurity due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The two companies partnered to make the $21,000 donation to demonstrate their commitment to the community during one of the most challenging periods in the region’s history.

"We value RSM’s dedication to Kansas City, and we’re honored to join with them to provide hunger relief in our community. During these unprecedented times, we don’t want our neighbors to worry about where their next meal is coming from,” said Ken Block, managing principal of BRES.

RSM, a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market both here and worldwide, announced last year that they were relocating their Kansas City office into 46 Penn Centre, a Class-A, 14-story, 214,000 SF office building with secure structured parking being developed by BRES on the Country Club Plaza

“RSM is proud to partner with Block Real Estate to demonstrate our ongoing commitment and dedication to our neighbors in the Kansas City market. Now more than ever, we would encourage others to give your time, talent and treasure to those most in need during these challenging times. ” said Ed Bartak, market leader for RSM.
