Brinkmann Constructors recently completed two significant construction projects in Colorado, expanding community access to senior care and affordable housing.
In Highlands Ranch, Brinkmann partnered with Erickson Senior Living to expand the Wind Crest Care Center. The project involved constructing a four-story building with 109 units and 164 beds, and renovating the 3,700-SF Care Center initially built in 2012.
A 2,400-SF pedestrian bridge now links the Care Center to a nearby residential building. Additionally, road improvements, including a new lane and cul-de-sac on Plaza Drive, were completed to enhance accessibility. SFCS, Inc. served as the architect for this project.
In Arvada, Brinkmann collaborated with Mile High Development on Ralston Gardens, a four-story, 98,000-SF affordable housing community. The 102-unit building provides housing options for residents within 30 to 70 percent of the area median income (AMI).
Brinkmann's 18-month preconstruction work included navigating the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) application process, supporting design development, and optimizing costs through value engineering. Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects, LLC served as the project architect for Ralston Gardens.
