Ignite Medical Resort, a new, post-hospital rehabilitation licensed skilled nursing facility, is now open at the corner of Little Blue Parkway and Valley View Road in Independence, Mo.
The development, purposefully built to provide uncompromising luxury with rapid rehabilitation, adds 80 private/semi-private units and a total of 90 beds (60 short-term and 30 long-term) to an area that has been undeveloped for this type of new standard of skilled nursing.
Rosemann & Associates, P.C. was chosen to design and provide structural engineering of the 62,965-SF progressive center, co-developed by the Chicago-based operator-developer, Avenue Development, LLC. and California-based owner-developer, LTC Properties, Inc.
Ignite’s exterior architecture utilizes traditional Craftsman design elements to evoke a sense of ‘home’ for patients during their stay. The contemporary exterior design component at the front entry, showcases the first-class therapy gym inside. Ignite’s outdoor dining, walking paths, and healing gardens are included in the list of exterior features that address not only the physical, but also the emotional and spiritual well-being of patients.
Patients benefit from intense clinical programming and on-site occupational, physical and speech therapy rehabilitation seven days a week with dedicated clinical programs for orthopedics, cardiac care, and stroke rehab, all focused on helping individuals recuperate and return home quickly.
The specialized services are complemented by Ignite’s many exceptional resort-like amenities including spacious private and adjoining suites, in-room mini fridges, HDTVs, on-site concierge service and the luxury to order room service from an in-room hospitality tablet.
Executive chef prepared meals in the full-service restaurant and fresh brewed coffee at the Starbucks cafe’ are available to both patients, visitors and staff. Last but not least, Ignite’s Glow Spa offers manicures, pedicures, massage therapy and hair salon services.
“We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to lead the design of Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs. Projects like this with a strong blend of traditional and contemporary architecture, resort-like amenities and an array of medical and wellness services are a testament to our commitment to provide inspiring environments that raises the bar for skilled nursing care,” said Rosemann project manager, Ryan Montana.
Other partners on the Ignite development include general contractor, Excel Constructors; MEP, Smith & Boucher; civil engineers, Cole & Associates; and interior designer, Direct Supply Aptura.
