Algen Williams joins HOK as vice president and regional leader of Sports + Recreation + Entertainment in Kansas City. Most recently, Williams was an associate principal and co-leader of Populous’ collegiate practice. He’s a former football student-athlete from the University of Kansas, where he graduated from the School of Architecture.

At Populous, Williams’ project experience included renovations to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida; the University of Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium Renovation Master Plan in Knoxville, Tennessee; Colorado State University’s new multipurpose stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado; athletic master plans for the University of Florida in Gainesville and Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia; the University of Missouri’s East Side Memorial Stadium expansion in Columbia, Missouri; and the University of South Florida’s Sun Dome Arena renovations in Tampa, Florida.
HOK’s Sports + Recreation + Entertainment practice has expertise in the design of arenas, stadiums, ballparks, training facilities and recreation centers. Current projects underway include Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta; Little Caesars Arena in Detroit; Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta; Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama; the AT&T Center renovation in San Antonio, Texas; FC Barcelona’s New Palau Blaugrana in Barcelona, Spain; Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California; the renovation of the Dolphins’ Stadium in Miami; and Shell Place in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Joe Heinzler has joined Kessinger Hunter’s office team in hopes of growing the firm’s portfolio and presence in Kansas City. Heinzler will provide tenant advisory services, including relocation and tenant renewal services.
Prior to joining Kessinger Hunter, he interned on the leasing team at The Kroenke Group in Columbia, Mo., where he worked with agents in leasing operations for a 45 million square foot portfolio.
