HarenLaughlin wins national industry award

HarenLaughlin's $4 million restoration project on a Northland apartment complex earned it the prestigious Phoenix Award.

HarenLaughlin Restoration is the proud recipient of a prestigious national award. The company took home the Phoenix Award, which honors "excellence in innovative restoration and construction."

The team highlighted its Ravello project, where it was called upon by a property management firm and its Homeowners Association client, Ravelo at Briarcliff, to assist in budgeting repairs to two four-story condos in the Northland due to construction defect related damages. The $4 million project took two years to complete, during which time both buildings were fully occupied.

The team's ingenuity resulted in significant cost savings for the client. But the real savings, the firm says, was on the potential loss of use claim.

"This was the most critical component of our cost saving creativity and was realized by the home owner's ability to live in their residence during the entire construction process," the company said. "Our due diligence in planning and staging the project allowed us to access all work areas from the exterior so as not to hinder the daily living on the interior of the residence."
