This week, the national Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) inaugurated Michael Lanning as its 81st president.
Lanning is a senior vice president and market leader for Cushman & Wakefield's Kansas City office, where he oversees 10 million square feet of office, medical office, retail, and an industrial portfolio. He also leads new business and professional development for the property management division. Over the past five years, he's leased more than 1.3 million square feet of office space worth $300 million.
Lanning is a long-time member of IREM's Kansas City chapter, receiving his CPM designation in 1995. He's also an active member of BOMA and the KCADC Life Science Advisory Board, and sits on the Board of Directors for the American Diabetes Association.
