Cellar Rat restaurant concept planned for Pickwick

A new wine bar and restaurant is headed for a historic project in downtown Kansas City.

Developers announced that Kevin Hodge, owner of Cellar Rat at 1701 Baltimore, will open a new concept on the corner of the East 9 at Pickwick Plaza development.

It's the latest tenant announcement following the recent news that City Gym would open a second 8,700-square-foot space at the Pickwick. More on that here.

Through a series of phases, East 9 at Pickwick Plaza will roll out 260 newly renovated apartments designed to maintain luxury apartment living while keeping prices affordable. The amenity-heavy historic project will offer one of the only indoor salt water pools in Kansas City, and offer residents amenities like custom wine lockers, private event space, in-home grocery delivery, attached secure parking garage, business center and conference room usage, Google Fiber and pet-friendly services.
