Baywood Hotels Inc. recently purchased a 2.71-acre pad site at the Plaza at the Speedway development from Block & Company, Inc. Realtors. The site is located at 10922 Parallel Parkway, in western Kansas City, Kansas, and will soon be the home of Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotels.
The Plaza at the Speedway is an 850,000 square foot power center retail shopping center that is located at I-435 & Parallel Parkway in Wyandotte County. The development is located near the Kansas Speedway, Children’s Mercy Park and Legends Outlets, just to name a few of the multiple tourist destinations located in the area. The retail and entertainment hot spots that are located near the Plaza at the Speedway development attract more than 14 million visitors annually.
The Plaza at the Speedway development is located on the north side of Parallel Parkway, stretching from I-435 on the east and almost to Hutton Road on the west. The development still has anchor space, pad sites and small shop spaces available, according to David Block. Block & Company Inc. Realtors are the leasing/development and construction managers for the development.
