Master's Transportation reveals new KC headquarters

Master’s Transportation, a cornerstone in Kansas City for over two decades, is set to elevate its presence with the construction of a new headquarters, moving from its current location in Belton, Mo. to 14655 Prospect Ave. in Kansas City, Mo.

The ambitious project, a three-building campus, marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey of growth and expansion. The new headquarters will bring together all aspects of Master’s Transportation operations, which are currently spread across seven facilities in the Kansas City area. The campus will consist of:

  • Production Facility/Warehouse: Spanning 252,000 SF, this facility will streamline manufacturing and storage operations.

  • 2-Story Class A Office: Covering 36,000 SF, this office space will house the administrative and executive teams in a state-of-the-art environment.

  • Service Building: At 32,000 SF, this building will cater to vehicle servicing needs, ensuring top-notch maintenance and support for its fleet.

  • Bus Parking Area: Nearly 1,000,000 SF of concrete paving will provide ample space for bus parking, facilitating efficient logistics and operations.

“We’ve been an anchor here in Kansas City for more than 20 years now. Due to our rapid growth, we’re currently spread across seven different facilities in the KC area. Our new headquarters really allows us to bring everything and everyone together under one roof, which we couldn’t be more excited about," said John Goodbrake, Master's president and CEO.

Project partners, including Miller Stauch Construction, Eskie + Associates, FINKLE + WILLIAMS Architecture, BSE Structural Engineers, Renaissance Infrastructure Consulting (RIC), initiated the groundbreaking in December 2023. The project is expected to be completed by April 2025.

"Working with the team to design and construct this campus for Masters Transportation presents a complex but exhilarating challenge. This multi-faceted headquarters consists of three buildings, each serving a different function but coming together to operate as a single unit. It has been enjoyable working with Masters Transportation -- a fast-growing local company that is introducing cutting-edge technology and manufacturing," said Greg Dean, Director of Sales for Miller Stauch Construction.

The collaborative effort between Master’s Transportation and its project partners has been crucial in bringing the grand vision to life. The innovative design and cutting-edge technology incorporated into the new headquarters will not only streamline operations but also position the company for significant growth and job creation in the Kansas City area.

“The new facility opens the door for us to manufacture on a whole new level, giving us even more room to grow as a company and create jobs locally. Currently, we’re looking at more than 300 jobs being brought to the Kansas City area with the development of this new facility. We can’t wait to see our team grow and watch our company continue to expand to serve the needs of the Kansas City community and beyond," Goodbrake said.
