Innovative ideas prove pivotal to Aspiria's tenant growth

Legal and technology solutions company UnitedLex is renewing its lease at Aspiria in Overland Park, Kan., signing a new, 16,419-SF lease in Building 11501 at the corporate campus.

“UnitedLex’s decision to revitalize their company’s space at Aspiria shows the level of excellence that Aspiria can offer in terms of customization, flexibility, amenities, security and infrastructure for businesses to perform and grow,” said Occidental Management president Chad Stafford.

Over the past two years, companies large and small have had to face an uncertain market and upheaval of corporate culture, and begin to think about what is needed to retain and attract a talented workforce.

For Aspiria, continuing to bring innovative ideas to the table has proved to be key for offering a first-class office environment to companies looking to adjust their working models to reflect these market movements.

“We truly cherish the relationships we’ve built with our tenants at Aspiria and the larger community in the Kansas City area,” Stafford said. “Our two companies working together for the best solution for UnitedLex is a testament to our commitment to our tenants and the community.”

Property owner, Occidental Management, has been instrumental in bringing creative changes and additions to the campus to fulfill that commitment, including introducing a groundbreaking app and bringing the RideKC bike share program to Overland Park.

New features like these have led to an increase in companies, including recent tenant additions TreviPay, CreativeOne, Yellow Corp. and TTEC Holding, seeking an industry-leading space to perform business.

"As the demand for data-centric solutions continues to increase, we’re looking forward to growing our presence in the Overland Park and Kansas City area,” said Ryan Reeves, chief client officer at UnitedLex. “There is a great talent pool in this region, and we hope this office space continues to attract world-class employees to our mission.”

In addition to the already developed 140 acres of land on which the existing Aspiria campus is built, Occidental Management has plans in motion to create a live, work, play destination on the additional 60 acres surrounding the existing campus at the corner of 119th Street and Nall Avenue.

Once fully developed, the area will include an additional 1 million SF of Class A office space, 380,000 SF of mixed-use retail and restaurant space, a 120-room hotel and 600 multifamily units, creating a truly inclusive hub of life and business in the Midwest.

Hoefer Welker, the first tenant to sign for the New Offices at Aspiria earlier in 2021, has already begun the design planning on the long-term project and space is currently available for lease.

Chad Stafford and Hunter Johnson of Occidental Management; Nick Esposito of Accretive Portco Solutions; and Rollie Fors of CBRE handled the transaction.
