Hunt Midwest is celebrating the completion of its sixth assisted living and memory care community since 2011 with the opening of Benton House of Raymore. In the last five years, Hunt Midwest has partnered with Principal Senior Living Group to invest more than $55 million in Benton House communities throughout the Kansas City metro. In 2016, the partnership plans to make another $18 to $20 million worth of investment.
Hunt Midwest President and CEO Ora Reynolds is says the firm is bringing a much-needed product type to the area.
Demand for our senior living communities proves there has been an unmet need for quality senior care in the Kansas City metro,” Reynolds said.
In 2016, Hunt Midwest is planning groundbreakings for its Benton House of Lenexa and Benton House of Staley Hills in the Northland. The team is looking for its ninth site in Overland Park. Other completed facilities include locations in Lee’s Summit, Prairie Village and Shoal Creek.
“We continue to identify sites in both Kansas and Missouri for additional Benton House locations,” Hunt Midwest Vice President Brenner Holland said. “We are proud to have become a recognized leader in senior housing development and care in Kansas City.”
Each community is roughly 52,000 square feet and features apartment-style suites lining two landscaped courtyards. Residents have access to amenities including a country kitchen, living and piano room, media room, private dining room and hair salon. Rents range from $3,000 to $4,500 a month with no buy-in fee. Benton House also includes the Beacon Neighborhood, a separate, exclusive area dedicated to residents with memory loss or Alzheimer’s Disease.
