Deal of the Week: NorthPoint sells The Village at Burlington Creek retail center

The retail portion of The Village at Burlington Creek includes more than 160,000 square feet of Class A retailers.

NorthPoint Development has sold off the retail portion of The Village at Burlington Creek to Inland Real Estate Acquisition. IREA now owns the 160,000-square- foot retail center located at NW 64th Street and N. Cosby Ave. and anchored by a newly built Sprouts Farmers Market.

Bruce Weissberg of Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance and Justin Kaufmann of Cadence Commercial Real Estate represented the buyer. Brian Votava of NorthPoint Development represented the seller.

According to Kaufmann, the April 2015 addition of a Sprouts grocery store made it the perfect timing for IREA to purchase the asset. In fact, the new anchor has already attracted new Class A retailers like SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza, a local restaurant coveted by many shopping center developers, which plans to open in The Village in late November. Other major tenants in the center include Bonefish Grill, Em Chamas Brazilian Grill, Caribou Coffee, and Impact Fitness.
