Color Art Palette and The Palmer Group partner to form Scott Rice Springfield LLC

Color Art Palette, Inc, the holding company for Kansas City-based Scott Rice Office Works and St. Louis-based Color Art, has announced its joint venture partnership with The Palmer Group LLC to create a new entity known as Scott Rice Springfield LLC.

Located at 2137 W Kingsley Street in Springfield, Mo., Scott Rice Springfield will join Color Art and Scott Rice as “authorized Steelcase (office furniture) dealerships,” with territories stretching from St. Louis, Mo. to Manhattan, Kan., and now serving the Springfield area as well as the southwest Missouri market.

The Palmer Group leadership team of Vicki Roman Palmer and daughter, Alex Roman, will take the reins of Scott Rice Springfield, a certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), as Chair of the Board and president/CEO respectively, in March (2022).

The firm plans to begin with about six employees in the new location, including assistance from the Kansas City team of Stacy Roth (VP of education), Bryan Osler (VP of sales) and Ed Wills (general manager).

“We are pleased and fortunate to partner with Color Art, a stellar industry leader in innovation and performance. Along with the skilled and dedicated team at Scott Rice Springfield, our goal is to continue to provide creative and thoughtful solutions for our customers,” Palmer said.

Palmer started The Palmer Group as a general management consulting company shortly after her retirement as a C-suite executive at Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc in 2009.

Roman’s exemplary career includes working for ESPN and MGM Resorts International, where she led the interior buildout as the PM on the $1.5B MGM National Harbor project —including space management, ownership of property-wide critical path of more than 15,000 line items and personalized departmental service training.

This past year, Scott Rice + Color Art together celebrated their 75th Anniversary and the new Scott Rice Springfield office was recently awarded a project with CHC SEK Pittsburg (Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas).

Other clients include Missouri State University, Drury University, Bass Pro, Bluegreen Vacations, Wilson Logistics, Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet, Lakeland Behavioral, Jack Henry, Jasper County Courthouse, Webb City Schools and many more.

“The enthusiasm, support and dedication of our employees, clients, and vendor partners is what we accredit to the success of our company. The Palmers partnering with our organization is a very exciting addition. They have been personal friends for years and finally, the timing was ideal to make this happen. Our common goal is to provide effective workspaces that allow for businesses to achieve their goals,” said Ed Wills, Color Art Palette CEO/COO.

The Palmer Group LLC will retain controlling interest of Scott Rice Springfield LLC. For more information, please visit https://www.scottrice.com/springfield/.
